Butler Service at Beaches Turks and Caicos
Paradise Awaits...
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to have a butler on vacation? Are you thinking of booking a room with butler service at Beaches Turks & Caicos? This service is the Top Tier room reservations available at the Beaches Turks & Caicos Resort. During my family's recent visit to Turks and Caicos we decided to try it out and since my return I have gotten a lot of interest and questions on the topic. I've been asked, is it worth it? Do they follow you everywhere? I know your thinking isn't this an All-inclusive resort what can they do for me? Let me break it down and share my experience to answer any questions you may have about it.
BEFORE ARRIVAL:
Before our vacation even started I was in contact with the resort getting things ready for our arrival. I was given a list of questions to answer such as drink preferences, food allergies, pillow choices and any celebrations or special activities we'd like to do. I also provided our flight information because with a Butler room you get VIP transportation to/from the airport.
ARRIVAL:
Once we landed we were greeted by our driver and we were told not to worry about our luggage we were on vacation! Trust me traveling with 2 daughters the guy had no idea what he got himself into. Once we arrived at Beaches we were greeted with cold towels, beverages (adults and kids version) and checked in. We had arrived early so we were escorted to a restaurant for lunch while our butlers prepared our room. We stayed in an Italian Oceanview 2 bedroom Butler Family Suite.
AT THE RESORT:
After we ate, our butlers (JoMo and Nadia) found us and introduced themselves and began to familiarize themselves with us with casual conversation and explained in detail what their responsibilities were. They also provided us a tour of our room and gave us a cell phone so we could reach them when needed. They both explained they wanted to make this an amazing trip and it was time to relax and enjoy family. Our butlers were amazing and both of them fit with our families personality and had fun with my kids. They offered to unpack our luggage and even set up a cabana at the main pool for us so we could get right to swimming. I wasn't quite ready for them to unpack my luggage though so I politely declined.
During our stay we had the same butlers. Mojo was our daytime butler from 7am-2pm then Nadia started the shift at 2pm -9pm. One of the best advantages of butler service at Beaches Turks and Caicos is the ability to get a private cabana. Every evening I was asked where I'd like a Cabana, which pool or beach location? I'd select what I'd like in my fully stocked cooler from fresh fruit to water, soda or beer. While at the Cabana they would bring us lunch or drinks if needed, always taking notes so they became familiar with our likes and dislikes. One day we asked for Nachos (I'm a Texan and I like Tex-Mex) but they do not serve nachos so they got with a chef and prepared custom nachos for us with shredded chicken, queso, guacamole and all the works.
So now you may be asking can a butler do anything then? The simple answer is yes, within reason and if it's legal. The butlers job during your stay is to anticipate your needs and make your vacation amazing. So if you ask nicely, they will cater to your needs. They will make all your reservations for dining or excursions and escort you to where you need to be. Having a butler often allows you premier access so you're not waiting for a dining table or having to find a pool side lounger. The butlers are highly trained professionals and are very good at their jobs.
Here are a few things the butler at Beaches Turks and Caicos can do for you:
Unpack your luggage and iron clothes
Schedule and book on/off site excursions
Bring food, snack, beverages on demand
Book a spa treatment
Secure prime seating at top restaurants
Set up cabanas at pool or beach
Arrange for in room dining
Expedite resort checkout
Schedule Your VIP transfer back to the airport
Assist you with anything you need while on vacation.
One of the things my family enjoyed the most about the butlers is the attention to the little details. They took notice of our habits and we often came back to cookies and popcorn in our room for late night snacks. The butler service is part of the room package when you book a butler room. Just know, in addition to this you will need to tip them for their great service. Butlers and Spa personnel are the only ones allowed to accept a tip for their services on property.
Is the Butler Service at Beaches Turks and Caicos worth it?
I will admit at first I wasn't sure I wanted someone at our beck and call and always there but I got used to it. They did not hover and were not intimidating. So I can honestly say YES 100%. If you can afford it then it does make your vacation special and one of a kind.
Final Thoughts:
You need to be ok asking for things and having someone do things for you. It took a few days before I got used to it. It was weird to ask for a drink or to have lunch brought to me but this is what they do, it's their job. It was nice to not worry about everything and timing dinner for less crowds or excursions. My family enjoyed being treated special and it made for a great memory of our vacation. Granted my kids now think they need a butler every time but it was fun and we walked away with new friends and great memories. So I'd say if you can do it! It's your vacation and you should be pampered at least a little.
*Thank you to our butlers, JoMo and Nadia, for helping create amazing memories and giving us the best vacation!**
